I remember eating lots of “Shake ‘n Bake” as a kid.  It was salty, delicious and full of preservatives.  This is a grown up version.  A version without the gluten, chemicals and crazy amounts of salt.  This is an easy and quick way to prepare chicken or pork, and makes a yummy and healthy version of chicken finger for even picky eaters (I swear, they won’t know it is good for them!!)

I add all of the following ingredients to a Zip-Lock bag and throw in whatever meat I am using, and as the name suggests, I shake it all together.  Make sure to discard any extra of the mixture you may have left in the bag after shaking.

  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

This is always a hit!
